The DMS program is selective and competitive, meaning the highest ranked students are offered a seat.

The selection process is completely "blind":

The applicants name, gender, race, age, or other personal information is not provided to the selection committee
Applicants are assigned an applicant number
The selection committee only has access to GPA & TEAS Examination Scores
Applicants are then ranked by highest GPA & TEAS scores
All applicants, whether selected or not, will be notified through COTC email in LATE SEPTEMBER
The top applicants are offered a seat.
Approximately 10 General Students and 12 Cardiovascular Students are selected.
Selected students will then attend a mandatory DMS ORIENTATION MEETING

Consider these questions:

1) Do you know your current GPA?

2) Is your GPA lower than you'd like it to be? While taking the prerequisite courses, be sure to work hard to earn A's and improve your GPA.

3) Are there other health programs that you are interested in applying to? If so, apply to both, and then if selected, you can choose! Always have a Plan B.
